CARPINTERIA
CARPINTERIA
Carpinteria is a lovely, family-oriented community and remains one of the state’s original small beach towns. Nestled between the coastal foothills and the ocean, it has long been referred to as “The World’s Safest Beach” due to its south-facing, gently sloped shoreline. Carpinteria has a deep agricultural history and is more recently recognized for its growing technical sector located on the east side of town. The community takes great pride in its outdoor activities and stewardship of the Bluff area and other open spaces. Homes prices range from modest family homes, to sprawling estates and ranches in the foothills to world-class beachfront dream homes in the celebrity enclave of Padaro Lane. There are many cultural draws throughout the year with the Avocado festival, the Rods and Roses car show and the Polo Fields. Carpinteria’s has two elementary schools, a Middle School and Carpinteria High School. The internationally-renown private, co-ed prep academy, Cate School, is located only minutes from downtown.
